The makers of the highly anticipated Tamil movie Viduthalai Part 2 unveiled the trailer on Tuesday. Starring Vijay Sethupathi and Soori in lead roles, the trailer has captured the attention of moviegoers, building on the intense narrative established in the first part. Directed by Vetrimaaran, this political thriller boasts a stellar cast that includes Manju Warrier, Kishore, Anurag Kashyap, Bose Venkat, Balaji Sakthivel, Saravana Subbiah, Chetan, and Munnar Ramesh.

A direct sequel to Viduthalai Part 1 (2023), the film is adapted from Jeyamohan’s short story Thunaivan. The trailer showcases Sethupathi's youthful days brought to life with advanced de-ageing technology. Additionally, Manju Warrier makes a striking appearance with a cropped hairstyle, adding a distinctive touch to her character.

Viduthalai Part 2 is not merely a standalone sequel but an extension of the first film, continuing the powerful story of Perumal Vaathiyaar, played by Vijay Sethupathi. The trailer picks up right where the first part left off, diving deeper into the protagonist’s journey, his political rebellion, and his complex relationship with the system.

The trailer launch event took place in Chennai on Tuesday, marked by much fanfare. Viduthalai Part 2 is set for a theatrical release on December 20, 2024. The film's soundtrack is composed by the legendary Ilaiyaraaja, who also scored the music for the first part. Notably, he created the songs for the movie in his newly launched music studio in Kodambakkam.
