#219, the couple discussed everything from their journey as co-stars to the importance of expressing love in everyday life.

One detail from the conversation, however, stood out. Vijay revealed that Rashmika tells him “I love you” around 10 to 15 times every day.

Rashmika on why couples should keep expressing love

Rashmika explained that relationships can sometimes lose their everyday warmth once couples become comfortable with each other. According to her, people may stop doing small things because they assume their partner already knows how they feel.

She stressed that gestures such as asking about each other’s day, wishing each other good morning or simply expressing affection should not disappear after marriage. For Rashmika, these small moments continue to matter even as a relationship grows and couples have children.

Vijay agreed with Rashmika’s perspective and said she is more mature than him when it comes to relationships. He then shared that she makes a conscious effort to express her feelings.

According to Vijay, Rashmika tells him “I love you” at least 10-15 times a day. She also encourages him to verbalise his own feelings rather than assuming that his partner automatically knows what is in his mind.

Vijay admitted that he has often viewed love differently. If he feels strongly about someone, he tends to believe that the person already knows it, so there is no need to repeatedly say it. Rashmika, he said, has helped him understand the value of putting those feelings into words.

How Vijay and Rashmika’s relationship began

The couple also looked back at how their relationship developed. Vijay said he has never been someone who believed in love at first sight. For him, love is something that grows through shared experiences and a journey together.

His relationship with Rashmika, too, evolved gradually, beginning with their work as co-stars before turning into friendship and eventually a partnership.

Rashmika, meanwhile, recalled their first day working together on Geetha Govindam. She remembered Vijay asking her to turn off the music she was listening to, an interaction that left her upset at the time.
