'Udumbanchola Vision' audio launch held in Kochi; first song 'Jodi Number One' out now

The audio launch of the upcoming Malayalam film Udumbanchola Vision was held in Kochi, unveiling its first official song and formally introducing the film to the public. The event was attended by members of the cast and crew, including lead actors Mathew Thomas and Sreenath Bhasi.

Directed by Salam Bukhari, Udumbanchola Vision marks his debut as an independent filmmaker. Bukhari has previously served as an associate director under renowned filmmaker Anwar Rasheed, and his entry into mainstream direction has been met with anticipation within the industry.

The first track from the film, titled Jodi Number One, was released during the event. A vibrant wedding-themed number, the song is sung by Dabzee, features lyrics by Vinayak Sasikumar, and is composed by acclaimed music director Gopi Sundar. The track aims to capture the celebratory mood of traditional wedding festivities and is expected to appeal to a wide audience.

Earlier, the film’s first-look poster had already generated significant buzz. It featured a fox dressed in a blazer, seated on an office chair with its back turned to the viewer. The unusual and symbolic imagery sparked speculation and curiosity, suggesting a film that blends satire, humour, and social commentary.

The film also marks the Malayalam cinema debut of model-actor Milind Soman, a well-known figure in Bollywood and internationally recognised for his work across various industries. His involvement adds considerable star value to the project.

In addition to Mathew Thomas, Sreenath Bhasi and Milind Soman, the film boasts an extensive ensemble cast. Notable names include Dileesh Pothan, Siddique, Ashokan, Babu Antony, Sudev Nair, Jinu Joseph, Abhiram Radhakrishnan, Srindaa, Neena Kurup, and Shaheen Siddique, among others.

Udumbanchola Vision is produced by Asher Ameer, Riyas K Muhammed and Salam Bukhari under the banners of A&R Media Labs and UB Productions. The film's technical team features several established names in Malayalam cinema. Cinematography is by Vishnu Thandassery, editing by Vivek Harshan, production design by Joseph Nellikkal, costume design by Sameera Saneesh, and makeup by Ronex Xavier.

The stunt sequences are choreographed by Kalai Kingson, Mafia Sasi and Thavasi Raj, while choreography for the film’s musical numbers is by Shobi Paulraj. Lyrics have been penned by Vinayak Sasikumar and Suhail Koya, and sound design is handled by Vicky, with final mix by MR Rajakrishnan.

Other key crew members include executive producer Shihab Parapparambath, production controller Vinod Shekhar, VFX by Egg White, and a team of assistant and associate directors including Kannan TG, Ajmal Hamsa, and Arjun Ganesh.

The film is expected to be a complete entertainer with elements of drama, humour, and visual appeal, supported by strong performances and high production values. Its release is anticipated in the coming months.
