Ahead of Singapore’s National Day Parade, the Singapore Police Force (SPF) captured attention by blending style and authority in a striking new video set to the pulsating beats of ‘Powerhouse’, the latest song from superstar Rajinikanth’s eagerly awaited film ‘Coolie’.

The video, shared on SPF’s official Instagram account, features officers striding confidently in slow motion, their backs turned to the camera. Each step exudes a powerful sense of command and swagger, perfectly synchronised with the high-energy soundtrack of ‘Powerhouse’. The accompanying caption read, “Reporting for #ndp2025 duties. #powerhouse #sg60 #singaporepoliceforce #safeguardingeveryday,” marking the 60th anniversary of Singapore’s independence.

The fusion of Rajinikanth’s iconic track with the disciplined poise of Singapore’s police force struck a chord online, quickly racking up enthusiastic reactions. One viewer praised the soundtrack, saying, “Track on point," while another expressed excitement with, “This is tooo Coooool !!!” Fans even joked about the collaboration, with one writing, “We got Coolie X Singapore Police collab before GTA 6." “Powerhouse” is the third single from ‘Coolie’, composed and sung by Anirudh Ravichander alongside rapper Arivu. The track is notable for including a surprise reference to the television series ‘Breaking Bad’, featuring the iconic Heisenberg line: “Say My Name… You’re Goddamn Right.”

The accompanying 3-minute 28-second music video showcases intense action sequences where Rajinikanth’s character, Deva, takes on foes one after another. Unlike the film’s earlier singles ‘Chikitu’ and ‘Monica,’ this track features fresh footage from the movie, delivering several memorable and thrilling moments.

Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, ‘Coolie’ follows Deva, an ageing gangster who attempts to revive his former criminal empire using stolen technology hidden within antique gold watches. His efforts to reunite his old crew and reclaim his past glory spark a series of high-stakes, chaotic events. The film stars Rajinikanth alongside Shruti Haasan, Nagarjuna, Upendra, Sathyaraj, Soubin Shahir, Reba Monica John, Junior MGR, Monisha Blessy, and Kaali Venkat.
