Speaking at the event, Kapoor reflected on the enduring significance of Lord Ram. "Lord Rama has been the conscience keeper of billions of people around the globe for centuries and long after," he said.
"He will continue being so long after we have gone. He enlightens us about the triumph of the human spirit in the face of adversities. He stands for compassion, courage, righteousness, and forgiveness. He is called Maryada Purushottam, which stands for the ideal man," the actor added.
The film, based on the ancient Indian epic Ramayana, is being mounted on a grand scale and is positioned as a global cinematic spectacle. Earlier promotional material had already generated significant buzz, including a multi-city launch across India and a prominent showcase at Times Square in New York.
Backed by Prime Focus Studios in association with the Oscar-winning VFX company DNEG and Yash’s Monster Mind Creations, the film is planned as a two-part epic, with Part 1 slated for release during Diwali 2026 and Part 2 in Diwali 2027. The project will also see a worldwide IMAX release.
Adding to its international appeal, the film features renowned Hollywood stunt directors Terry Notary and Guy Norris, known for their work in major global franchises, who are choreographing large-scale action sequences depicting battles between gods and demons.
