Prominent Tamil actor Daniel Balaji dies of heart attack

Chennai: Popular Tamil actor Daniel Balaji died at the age of 48. He reportedly died of a heart attack on Friday night. The actor breathed his last while undergoing treatment at a hospital in Chennai.

Born in1975, Daniel Balaji made his entry into the film industry as the production unit manager of Kamal Haasan film ‘Marudhanayagam’. He had worked in TV serials as well. Apart from Tamil, he has also featured in Malayalam and Kannada films.

Daniel had essayed impressive roles in hit Tamil movies such as Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu, Vada Chennai, Maayavan and Bhairava. His Malayalam movies include Black, Bhagavan and Daddy Cool.

The death of the actor has sent shockwaves across the film industry as condolence messages continue to pour in. Final rites will be held on Saturday.
