'They asked me why I'm not following Chai Akkineni, so then I...' – Sobhita recalls how it all began

Hyderabad: In a recent interview with Vogue, actress Sobhita Dhulipala revealed how meeting Naga Chaitanya changed her perspective on love and life. Before meeting the actor, Sobhita had made a decision not to have a life outside Mumbai or pursue a partner from the film industry. However, her outlook shifted after she crossed paths with Naga Chaitanya.

Sobhita described Naga as "balanced, optimistic, and having a clear mind." She added, "Until I met Naga Chaitanya, I didn’t think he would be such a humble person. Even if he spends two hours cleaning his bike, he is completely satisfied with it. This is because he loves it so much. He finds happiness in dedicating himself completely to someone or something." She also highlighted his unwavering belief in the beauty of life, even amidst challenges. "Even when there are disappointments and discomforts in life, he only sees the bright side," she said.

Sobhita pointed out that Naga Chaitanya’s response to the success and failure of his recent films, Thandel and Custody, perfectly exemplified his optimistic nature. "He reacted the same way, whether Thandel was a success or Custody received negative reviews," she noted.

"When I was looking at the questions on 'Ask Me Anything', I noticed someone had asked why you are not following Chai Akkineni. I was surprised. I went to his profile and looked. He was following only 70 people, including me. I felt a little happy, and I followed him back," she shared.

Sobhita also revealed that Naga Chaitanya’s posts started appearing in her feed, with his sushi (Japanese dish) posts catching her attention. "First I sent a message, and it continued. Finally, one day in April 2022, Naga Chaitanya came to Mumbai for a lunch date," she added.
