Sivakarthikeyan turns heads at IFFI Goa 2024; ‘Manjummel Boys’ to be screened today

Panaji: Tamil actor Sivakarthikeyan made a notable appearance on the fourth day of the International Film Festival, engaging the audience in an insightful conversation titled ‘From Small Screen to Big Dreams’. The session, part of the In Conversation segment, saw Sivakarthikeyan sharing his journey in the film industry, discussing his career and the memorable characters he has portrayed. The actor was joined by actor Khushbu Sundar for an in-depth discussion.

Film screenings

The festival’s previous day featured the screening of several notable films. In the International Competition section, the Turkish film Gülizar and the Persian film Fear and Trembling took centre stage. The Indian Panorama also showcased a variety of films, including the Ladakhi film Ghar Jaisa Kuch, Abhinav Athrey's Google Matrimony, Karthik Subbaraj's Jigarthanda Double X and the futuristic Kalki 2898 AD. On Sunday, the film Manjummel Boys, directed by Chidambaram and starring Sreenath Bhasi and Soubin, will be screened as part of the Indian Panorama.

P K Jinsil represented the Malayalam language in the 'Voice Box' programme, organised by the National Film Development Corporation in collaboration with Netflix.

Jinsil, the only Malayali voice artist honoured at the festival, has been a prominent figure in audiobooks, podcasts and Kerala government advertisements. He was among eight voice artists selected from across India for this prestigious programme.
