‘Rajeev Menon, Maggie, and I... Memories of painful separations linger,' recalls Sibi Malayil

Director Sibi Malayil shared memories of his moving film ‘Dasharatham’, which featured Mohanlal in the lead role. The director’s post comes as the film completes 35 years since its release. Sibi Malayil fondly remembered his colleagues who have since passed away.

"Thirty-five ‘Dasharatham’ years... Rajeev Menon, Maggie and I... remembering those who are no longer with us... Lohithadas, Johnson, Poovachal Khader, Murali, Venuchettan, Sukuvettan, Karamana Chettan, Sukumari Chechi, Lalitha Chechi, M S Thripunithura Chettan, Bobby Kottarakkara, Shanmukhannan, Velappannan, C K Suresh... and most recently, Ponnamma Chechi... Only memories of these painful separations remain."

'Dasharatham' was released in October 1989. Written by Lohithadas, the film has since been recognised by audiences as a classic.
