Shweta Menon receives grand welcome at mother’s hometown in Tirur; calls it an emotional experience

Tirur: Shweta Menon, the first woman president of the actors association AMMA, received a warm welcome in her mother’s hometown. The reception was held at the Wagon Tragedy Memorial Town Hall premises, close to Tirur, where her mother hails. The event was jointly organised by Tirur Pauravali and the Thirunavaya Mamankam Memorial Trust.
Shweta Menon spent her childhood in Vettath. On behalf of Pauravali, Tirur Municipal Standing Committee Chairperson for Health, Fathimath Sajna, adorned Shweta with a traditional shawl. CPM Harris, Chairman of the Mamankam Memorial Trust and founder of Swiss Edtech, presented a memento.
“It was a deeply emotional experience to receive such a warm welcome in my mother’s land. I have taken charge as AMMA’s president and am continuing this journey. I seek everyone’s prayers and blessings,” said Shweta Menon. Her husband Sreevalsan was present alongside her.
