Shin Min Ah–Kim Woo Bin wedding today; agency shares first photo ahead of Seoul ceremony

One of South Korea’s most-followed celebrity couples is officially walking down the aisle. Kim Woo Bin and Shin Min Ah are set to marry on Saturday in an intimate ceremony at Seoul’s Shilla Hotel, concluding a decade-long relationship that has been in the public eye since 2015.
Although the event has been tightly controlled, with guest details kept under wraps, the couple allowed one glimpse into their celebration: a monochrome portrait shared just ahead of the ceremony, along with a note to global fans. AM Entertainment confirmed that “Today, actress Shin Min Ah and actor Kim Woo Bin are officially tying the knot,” extending appreciation to supporters as they “embark on this precious new journey together.”
Only one major detail about the wedding has been confirmed publicly – longtime friend Lee Kwang Soo will officiate.
Agency drops first photo ahead of ceremony
AM Entertainment issued a short statement that said:
“We are deeply grateful for the warm blessings and unwavering support you’ve shown the couple as they embark on this precious new journey together. Both actors look forward to returning your love by continuing to deliver their best performances on screen in the future. Thank you!”
Alongside the note came a black-and-white photograph of the pair, shot outdoors against fresh snowfall. The actors turn slightly toward the camera and smile, hand-in-hand, while walking through a frosted landscape.
Shin Min Ah wears a modern bridal ensemble in white with cascading hair and oversized flowers in hand, while the ‘Uncontrollably Fond‘ star Bin pairs a fitted dark blazer with light trousers and a white shirt. The picture marks their first official couple portrait since their Giordano campaign a decade ago and later appearance together in ‘Our Blues’.
Handwritten invitations and a decade-long wait
Industry reports say the couple wrote personal invitations to those attending tonight’s event, a gesture that reflects how closely guarded the celebration is.
Kim and Shin have been together since 2015 and are regarded as one of Korean entertainment’s most stable partnerships – earning the nickname “model couple” for their shared fashion career backgrounds and public poise.
For fans who have tracked the relationship since rumours first surfaced after a commercial shoot, today’s ceremony marks the culmination of a 10-year romance that withstood Woo Bin’s health battles and their respective career breaks.
Wedding at Korea’s most coveted celebrity venue
The ceremony is being staged at The Shilla Hotel in central Seoul – a venue synonymous with luxury celebrity weddings and known for its Forbes-rated guest experience, as per K-media outlet Newsis.
Shilla, opened in 1973 as Seoul’s first luxury property, has held a five-star Forbes Travel Guide rating for seven consecutive years – the only South Korean hotel to do so. The Samsung Group-owned property is overseen by president and CEO Lee Boo Jin, whose net worth is estimated at USD 6 billion.
The venue offers two primary wedding spaces: Dynasty Hall, which can host around 700 guests, and Yeongbingwan, designed for outdoor ceremonies for 200 to 300 attendees overlooking Namsan Mountain.
The Library lounge, known for “Rich dark woods, oversized leather seating and a central fireplace,” has become another trademark spot for celebrity gatherings, offering whisky collections, high tea and Michelin-star dining across Chinese, Japanese, French and Korean restaurants.
Guests also have access to Guerlain Spa treatments and Urban Island, an outdoor pool with dining spaces.
A standout according to SCMP is Yeong Bin Gwan – a preserved Joseon-era hanok housing gardens and banquet halls that blend tradition with contemporary design.
How much a Shilla wedding costs
Local business media estimate that a 300-guest event at a Seoul five-star hotel begins around 80 to 90 million won. When floral installations, upgraded meals and production elements are added, totals can exceed 100 million won.
Examples cited from recent events – including a YouTuber’s May 2025 Dynasty Hall ceremony – showed flower arrangements costing 61 million won and décor pushing venue totals to 88.6 million won. With banquet packages priced at roughly 200,000 won per head plus noodles and alcoholic beverages, overall bills can reach 200 million won – and up to 300 million won when attire, favours and other services are included.
Star-studded tradition at Shilla
Shilla has hosted some of the Korean wave’s most high-profile unions, including:
- Jun Ji Hyun and Choi Jun Hyuk (2012)
- Yoo Jae Suk and Na Kyung Eun (2008)
- Jeon Do Yeon and Kang Shin Kyu (2007)
- Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo (2017)
- Moon Hee Jun and Soyul (2017)
- Se7eN and Lee Da Hee (2023)
- figure skating icon Kim Yuna
Last October’s wedding of comedian Jo Se Ho, also at Shilla, turned into a parade of A-listers from G-Dragon and Taeyang to Park Shin Hye, Lee Dong Wook, Yoo Jae Suk and a long roster of K-pop idols.
