Seeing Lal sir like that, we just loved it: Nivin Pauly on Mohanlal’s Thudarum

Actor Nivin Pauly has praised Mohanlal’s recent film Thudarum, calling it a “well-made” and emotionally engaging experience, and said he thoroughly enjoyed watching the veteran star in the super hit film.
Speaking in an interview with Pearle Maaney as part of the promotions of his upcoming film Sarvam Maya, Nivin shared his thoughts on some of the Malayalam films he liked recently. When asked about his favourite recent watch, Nivin first mentioned Lokah, starring Kalyani Priyadarshan and Naslin.
However, when the discussion turned to Thudarum, Nivin had high praise for the Mohanlal-starrer.
“Thudarum was really good. It was brilliant. Seeing Lal sir like that, we just loved it. Emotionally, we connected deeply with the character. It was well-made. The villain was also very good,” Nivin said.
Actor Aju Varghese, who also appeared in the interview, said Eko was his favourite recent watch and later brought up Thudarum as well. Aju added that Mohanlal’s much-applauded jump during the police station fight sequence stood out for him, revealing that he had watched the scene multiple times after the film’s OTT release.
Sarvam Maya, a fantasy horror comedy directed by Akhil Sathyan, stars Nivin Pauly and Aju Varghese in key roles and also features Janardhanan, Raghunath Paleri, Madhu Warrier, Altaf Salim, and Preity Mukhundhan.
Produced by Ajay Kumar and Rajeev Menon under the Firefly Films banner, Sarvam Maya has music composed by Justin Prabhakaran, cinematography by Sharan Velayudhan, and editing by Akhil Sathyan himself. The film is slated for a Christmas release.
