Renowned mimicry artist, actor, and painter Kottayam Nazeer has expressed his joy and disbelief after meeting legendary actor Rajinikanth and presenting him with a copy of his art book, Art of My Heart. The meeting took place on the sets of the upcoming film Jailer 2, in which Rajinikanth stars.

Nazeer, who is known for his artistic talent in addition to his work in performance and cinema, described the experience as a moment crafted by "the scriptwriter above”—a divine orchestration of fate. The artist has long admired Rajinikanth, having mimicked the superstar on stage many times throughout his career.

In a heartfelt post shared on social media, Nazeer recounted the surreal feeling of standing beside the very man he once watched in awe from the floor of a palm-thatched cinema in Karukachal.

“Years ago, I watched him on screen while seated on a floor mat at Modern Cinema Talkies in Karukachal. Later in life, as a painter, I drew countless portraits of this style icon on various walls. As a mimicry artist, I imitated his iconic styles on numerous stages,” Nazeer wrote.

The moment of presenting the book, he said, was unforgettable:

“When I handed over Art of My Heart, which contains my paintings, Rajinikanth took time to appreciate each image. He then placed his arm around my shoulder and posed for a photo. At that moment, I couldn’t tell whether it was a dream or reality,” he said.

Nazeer concluded his post with words of deep gratitude:

“I had only one prayer in my heart – thanks to God, my parents, my teachers, and to all of you who helped me reach this point. Truly, the script written by the Creator is an extraordinary one.”

The social media post was accompanied by photographs of the emotional meeting, which has since touched the hearts of fans and fellow artists alike.
