Sathyan Anthikad: Collaborating with Mohanlal on 'Hridayapoorvam' was a pleasure, not a job

Acclaimed Malayalam Director Sathyan Anthikad said that when Mohanlal works with him, a film is not just a job but a pleasure. Anthikad said the “chemistry” between them is always a great experience. He was speaking while interacting with the audience at the screening of 'Hridayapoorvam' in Thrissur.

“By the grace of God, the response that 'Hridayapoorvam' has been getting since its release on the first day is exciting. The uniqueness of the film, and my happiness, is that Mohanlal and I are coming together,” Anthikad said.

“When Mohanlal is with me, a film is not a job, it is a pleasure. The chemistry between Lal and me is a great experience. 'Hridayapoorvam' is literally a family film. My son Akhil wrote the story. Another son, Anoop Sathyan, is the chief associate director. Their elder brother Arun is the biggest critic and adviser of the film,” he said.

He added that the film’s strong response suggests it is turning out to be a big success. Anthikad said he was very happy and thanked the audience.
