Playback singer and television personality Rimi Tomy is preparing to begin a new chapter in her personal life, hinting that she is planning to get married again. The singer shared the news in a video posted on her YouTube channel, opening up about finding love and her decision to consider marriage once more.

Although Rimi has kept her prospective husband's identity under wraps, she offered a few clues about him and spoke about what made her consider taking the next step. She also expressed hope that the wedding would happen soon, while leaving the timing to God's hands.

Speaking about her personal journey, Rimi said that while her family has always supported her, she had felt the absence of a life partner.

"My family has always been there for me. My brother, mother, younger sister and the children are my family. I am extremely happy, but I have always felt that there is a void in life when it comes to having a partner," she said.

The singer revealed that someone entered her life in 2026, bringing a change in her outlook towards companionship.

"Amid all this, someone came into my life in 2026," she said, adding that she was not ready to reveal his identity just yet.

However, Rimi clarified that her prospective husband is not associated with the entertainment industry or a prominent public figure.

"This person is neither an actor nor a singer, is not particularly famous and is not a millionaire either," she said, promising to share more details soon.

What Rimi Tomy expects from her future husband

Explaining what she looks for in a life partner, Rimi said that a relationship should be built on understanding, comfort and mutual respect rather than superficial considerations.

"A life partner is not someone you can simply choose at random. There has to be mutual understanding and a connection. You should be able to feel comfortable and at peace with that person," she said.

She added that she wanted someone with whom she could grow in different aspects of life, both personally and professionally.

"I feel as though this person was brought into my life by God. The rest is something only time will tell," she said.

Rimi also emphasised that money and fame were not what she valued most in a relationship. "What I need is someone who gives me peace, takes care of me and understands every side of who I am," she said.

The singer revealed that the two had taken time to understand each other before reaching their decision. She said the relationship had given her considerable peace of mind and made her hopeful about building a future together.

"I have taken this decision with the hope that I will have a beautiful life ahead," she said.

Although she wishes to get married soon, Rimi said the final decision about the timing rests with God. She also sought the prayers and blessings of her fans as she prepares for this new phase.

Rimi Tomy recalls second marriage rumours

During the video, Rimi also addressed the speculation surrounding her personal life in recent years. She recalled how reports claiming that she had remarried began circulating online around three years ago.

"Three years ago, when reports surfaced online claiming that I had got married, I posted a video like this one. Back then, I clarified that I was not married," she said.

She also remembered asking an audience during a stage programme in Canada whether they would support her decision to marry for a second time. The question subsequently went viral, and she said people had continued asking her about her marriage plans.

"I am about to share news that will make 75 percent of you happy," she said in the latest video.
