Veteran producer RB Choudary, founder of Super Good Films, was laid to rest in Chennai on May 6, following his death in a car accident near Udaipur on Tuesday. The funeral saw a large turnout from across the South Indian film industry, reflecting his decades-long influence on Indian cinema.

Actor Vijay met the family during the ceremony and consoled them, while actor Jiiva broke down in grief.

Choudary was a major figure in South Indian cinema, having established Super Good Films in 1988. The production house went on to deliver several commercially successful and widely known films across Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Hindi industries, including Nattamai, Poove Unakkaga, Suryavamsam, Thullatha Manamum Thullum, Aanandham, and Jilla.

Over the years, he was known for backing family dramas and star-driven commercial films that helped shape mainstream Tamil cinema in the 1990s and 2000s.

Several prominent figures from the industry also attended the ceremony, including Mammootty, Suriya, and Vikram, all of whom expressed their condolences to the bereaved family.
