Actor Rashmika Mandanna has reportedly suffered a serious hip injury while filming an elaborate dance sequence for one of her upcoming projects, forcing her to temporarily pause her packed work schedule.

According to reports, Rashmika Mandanna sustained the injury while filming an intense dance sequence for one of her upcoming projects. Neither the actor nor her team has issued an official statement confirming the reported injury.

Report claims tendon was torn from hip

According to reports, Rashmika suffered a complete tear of a tendon from her hip while filming the sequence. She reportedly underwent a medical examination, following which doctors advised her to take six weeks of complete rest before beginning a rehabilitation programme. Reports also stated that doctors found the extent of the injury unusual, noting that such tendon tears are more commonly seen in professional athletes.

Following medical evaluation, the actor has been advised to avoid all physical activity for the next six weeks. She is expected to begin a structured rehabilitation programme only after completing the prescribed period of rest.

Shooting schedules may face delays

The injury is likely to affect the actor's immediate professional commitments.

Rashmika has been juggling several high-profile film projects in addition to commercial endorsements. If the reports prove accurate, production schedules and promotional commitments may need to be revised while she recovers.

Production teams associated with her ongoing projects are yet to announce whether filming plans will be altered.

Rashmika's upcoming films

Rashmika is currently working on two major pan-India productions, 'Mysaa' and 'Ranabaali'.

She has been filming 'Mysaa', directed by Rawindra Pulle, in which she portrays a fierce Gond woman. The film's teaser, released in December 2025, introduced audiences to the actor in a rugged, action-oriented role. Produced by Unformula Films, the project features cinematography by Shreyaas P Krishna and music composed by Jakes Bejoy. Rashmika had recently completed filming an underwater action sequence for the film.

She will also star in 'Ranabaali', directed by Rahul Sankrityan. The Telugu period drama is set during the British Raj and explores lesser-known chapters of Indian history. The film also marks Rashmika's third on-screen collaboration with Vijay Deverakonda.
