Superstar Rajinikanth's much-anticipated film "Vettaiyan," directed by T.J. Gnanavel, released in theaters on Wednesday. The film boasts an impressive cast, featuring Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, and Rana in pivotal roles.
In exciting news, Amazon Prime Video has secured the OTT rights for "Vettaiyan" for a significant amount, confirming the film's digital release.
The movie also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Manju Warrier, Ritika Singh, and Dushara Vijayan, among others, and is produced by Lyca Productions. Notably, this film marks the thirtieth venture for Lyca Productions and serves as Amitabh Bachchan's debut in Tamil cinema.
Amitabh Bachchan's character, Sathyadev, makes a powerful statement in the film, saying, "Justice delayed is justice denied; justice hurried is justice buried," highlighting his opposition to encounter killings. The film’s music is composed by Anirudh Ravichander, adding to the excitement surrounding its release.
Helmed by TJ Gnanavel and produced by Subaskaran's Lyca Productions, the star-studded film also ensemble included Rana Daggubati, Fahadh Faasil, Manju Warrier, Ritika Singh, Dushara Vijayan, and Abhirami.

The trailer begins with a large crowd protesting over the arrest of the person responsible for raping and murdering a woman. The video introduces Rajinikanth as the cop, who battles for extrajudicial killings as he proclaims, "It's not wrong for the police to take the law into their own hands when injustice occurs, rather than remaining silent."
