He is an entertainment package and will be missed, Prabhu Deva on Vijay's political entry

Actor and choreographer Prabhu Deva has expressed that the film industry will sorely miss actor Vijay once he becomes active in politics. Speaking at a press conference for the promotion of his upcoming film Petta Rap, Prabhu Deva emphasised that Vijay is an entertainment package and that's why everyone loves him.
“Vijay is a complete entertainment package, offering everything from dance to action and romance. That’s why audiences love him. His move into politics will certainly be felt in the industry,” Prabhu Deva remarked.
Love for Malayalam cinema
Prabhu Deva, who has had a long and successful career in both choreography and acting, also shared his admiration for Malayalam cinema. When asked about his recent favourite films, he mentioned Ullozhukku, starring Urvashi and Parvathy.
Becoming a hero
Reflecting on his journey in cinema, Prabhu Deva admitted that he never dreamed of being a hero. He credited his father for his transition into acting, which came after he had already established himself as a successful choreographer.
“I didn’t even know what I was doing during my first two or three films. As an actor, I had to be away from home for days, and I was terribly homesick. I was a teenager when I entered films. I was around 19 or 20 when I started acting. I started missing my parents. It wasn’t something I had planned, and it took four films before I finally got comfortable in front of the camera,” he revealed.
Upcoming film release
Petta Rap tells the love story of Bala, played by Prabhu Deva a middle-class man with dreams of becoming Tamil cinema’s top action hero and Janaki, played by Vedhika a local girl who transforms into a pop singer. The movie is directed by S J Sinu and Bollywood actress Sunny Leone also plays a key role in the film. The movie is set to release on September 27.
