‘An eternal drop of life…’ Parineeti Chopra and Raghav Chadha reveal newborn son’s name

Parineeti Chopra and Raghav Chadha have announced the name of their baby boy, a month after his birth on 19 October 2025. The couple shared the update on Instagram, introducing their son as Neer.

Their post featured two images: one showing Parineeti and Raghav kissing their newborn’s feet, and another with them gently holding his feet together. In the caption, they wrote, “Jalasya rūpam, premasya svarūpam – tatra eva Neer. Our hearts found peace in an eternal drop of life. We named him ‘Neer’ – pure, divine, limitless.”

The name announcement follows the couple’s earlier post in October, shortly after the birth, where they said, “He’s finally here. Our baby boy. And we literally can’t remember life before. Arms full, hearts are fuller. First we had each other, now we have everything.”

Parineeti and Raghav had confirmed their pregnancy in August this year. They married in September 2023 in Udaipur, Rajasthan, in a ceremony attended by family, close friends and political guests. The pair had been together for several months before publicly confirming their relationship earlier in 2023.

The announcement came one month after the baby’s birth on 19 October. The Instagram carousel included two photographs of the parents with their newborn, focusing on close-up shots of his feet.

In their caption, the couple described the meaning behind the name, referring to Neer as symbolising purity, divinity and boundlessness. This is the first time they have revealed the name since his birth.

The couple previously confirmed the arrival of their son in a statement released in October, expressing joy at becoming parents.

Their wedding took place in September 2023 in Udaipur and was attended by relatives, friends from Bollywood, and several political dignitaries. Before their marriage, the couple had been in a relationship for several months.

Neer marks their first child together, and the couple has continued to share selective updates with their followers since the birth.
