PVG - producer behind films Angadi, Oru Vadakkan Veeragatha, Thooval Kottaram

Kozhikode: Renowned film producer, P.V Gangadharan, passed away early Friday morning. He has produced various films that have left a lasting impact on viewers and are loved by many, decades after they were released.
As Kerala remembers PVG, let us take a look at the many films that graced our screen with his contribution and vision.
His first film was Sujatha, released in the year 1977 that was directed by T. Hariharan with Prem Nazir, Jayabharati and K.P Ummer on screen. Gangadharan has locked hands with film veteran I.V Sasi four times with films like Vartha gaining critical acclaim. His more recent films include Janaki Jane and Notebook.
Other films he produced include: Manasa Vacha Karmana (1979), Angadi (1980), Ahimsa (1981), Chiriyo Chiri (1982), Kattathe Killikoodu (1983), Ithiri Poove Chuvannapoove (1984), Ozhivukaalam (1985), Vartha (1986), Oru Vadakkan Veeragatha (1989), Ennum Nanmakal (1991), Adhwaytham (1992), Ekalavyan (1993), Thooval Kottaram (1996), Kaanaakkinaavu (1996), Ennu Swantham Janakikutty (1998), Veendum Chila Veettukaryangal (1999), Kochu Kochu Santhoshangal (2000), Shantham (2001), Achuvinte Amma (2005), Yes Your Honour (2006), Notebook (2006) and Janaki Jane (2023).
Two of his films, Kaanaakkinaavu and Shantham won the National Film Awards. Oru Vadakkan Veeragatha, Kaanaakkinaavu, Veendum Chila Veettukaryangal, Achuvinte Amma and Notebook won the Kerala State Film Awards.
