'Ong-Bak' stunt choreographer joins Antony Varghese for Pan-Indian action flick 'Kattalan'

Kochi: Cubes Entertainments has begun shooting its new big-budget action thriller 'Kattalan' in Thailand, starring Antony Varghese (Pepe) in the lead role.
Produced by Shareef Muhammed and directed by debutant Paul George, the film’s action sequences are choreographed by world-renowned stunt director Kecha Khamphakdee, famed for his work on the Thai martial arts film 'Ong-Bak'. A poster featuring visuals from Thailand has already gone viral on social media. The film will also include sequences with Pong, the elephant that appeared in 'Ong-Bak'.
'Kattalan' brings together a mix of Malayalam and pan-Indian talent, including Sunil, Kabir Duhan Singh, Jagadish, Siddique, Anson Paul, Raj Tirandasu, Shon Joy, rapper Baby Jean, Hanan Shaah, Parth Tiwari, and Shibin S. Raghav. The film’s launch began with a grand pooja ceremony in Kochi, described as one of the largest in Malayalam cinema, and the project is produced on a budget of ₹50 crore.
Antony Varghese appears under his real name in the film. Kecha Khamphakdee, who has also worked on 'Ong-Bak 2', 'Baahubali 2: The Conclusion',' Jawan', 'Baaghi 2', and 'Ponniyin Selvan: Part 1', has designed the action sequences.
Music for the pan-Indian action thriller is composed by Kannada music director B Ajaneesh Loknath, known for 'Kantara: Chapter 2'. The screenplay is by Paul George and Unni R, with cinematography by Renadive and editing by Shameer Muhammed.
