Nivin Pauly's debut web series 'Pharma' set for OTT release; details inside

Malayalam superstar Nivin Pauly is making his debut in the world of web series with Pharma, written and directed by PR Arun The series will soon stream on Disney+ Hotstar. The series follows the success of Malayalam series like Kerala Crime Files and Masterpiece.

The series is produced by Krishnan Sethukumar, known for films like Unda, James and Alice, Evide, Pokiri Simon, and Bicycle Thieves.

The series had its world premiere at the 55th edition of IFFI on November 27, where cast members Narein, Shruti Ramachandran, Rajit Kapoor, Alekh Kapur, Veena Nandakumar, Muthumani, and other technicians attended the event. Pharma received positive feedback for its fresh storytelling and technical excellence in Goa.

The story of Pharma follows the life of a middle-class boy who begins his career in the pharmaceutical industry as a medical representative. It chronicles his struggles to understand the industry's rules and his efforts to oppose corruption within it.

Cinematography for Pharma is handled by Abhinandan Ramanujam, with music by Jakes Bejoy and editing by Sreejith Sarang. The makeup is done by Sudhi Kattapana, with Sagar serving as the Chief Associate Director. The series was filmed across various locations in Kochi, Thrissur, Palakkad, Ottapalam, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Delhi, and Amritsar.
