NCB questions Tamil director Ameer in drug smuggling case

Chennai: The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Tuesday questioned actor-director Ameer in connection with a drug case involving former DMK leader and film producer Jaffer Sadiq. 

He was questioned at the NCB office in Delhi for over 5 hours. Jaffer Sadiq is the producer of Ameer's upcoming film. The NCB officials questioned the Tamil director over certain business dealings between them. 

Jaffer also produced Ameer's fifth directorial 'Iraivan Miga Periyavan' after Mounam Pesiyadhe, Raam, Paruthiveeran, and Aadhi Bhagavan. Jaffer is said to have handed over Rs 25 lakh to Ameer.
