Controversial remarks of Vinayakan: Navya says she was unable to react

Actor Navya Nair differed over the controversial comment made by Vinayakan about the MeToo movement. Navya was addressing an Instagram live in relation to the promotion of her newly released movie ‘Oruthee’ with the director VK Prakash.
When she was asked why she had remained silent when Vinayakan made such a comment, Navya replied that she was not in a situation to mark her resentment.
Vinayakan courted controversy through his remarks over the ‘MeToo’ movement, which led the fight against harassment faced by women, often from the affluent persons in the society. All the controversies triggered when Vinayakan asked “What is MeToo?... I do not know”, while sharing stage with Navya and VK Prakash, in the promotion of ‘Oruthee’.
He also said that he had physical relationship with ten women altogether and in all these cases, he had asked for their consent. Vinayakan had also slammed the fans association by saying they are useless and no movie can win or lose according to the will of fans.
