Navas died of heart attack; collapsed, sustained head injury: Preliminary autopsy report

The preliminary post-mortem report has confirmed that Kalabhavan Navas died due to a heart attack. It states that the heart attack occurred around 8 pm on Friday night, and that he had experienced symptoms of a heart attack previously as well. The post-mortem examination was conducted at 10 am on Saturday at the Kalamassery Medical College.

Navas was found lying near the door inside his hotel room in Chottanikkara. The door was not locked. It is believed that after experiencing chest pain, he attempted to step outside the room to seek help, during which he collapsed. The impact from the fall also caused a head injury.

Navas had returned to the hotel room after completing the shoot of the film Prakambanam. As there were no shooting schedules for the next two days, he had come to the hotel room to collect his belongings and return home. He had been staying in the same hotel room for the past 25 days along with other cast members of the film.

Navas had informed the hotel that he would check out at 8 pm. However, when he was not seen even by 8:30 pm, a room boy went to check and found him lying on the floor. Soap, a towel and a change of clothes were seen on the bed.

Meanwhile, the hotel owner stated that Navas was still alive when he was taken to the hospital.
