National Film Awards 2023 distribution by noon today

New Delhi: President Droupadi Murmu will confer the 69th National Film Awards on the winners at the Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi on Tuesday. The felicitation ceremony will begin at 1.30 pm and will be telecast on Doordarshan live. The awards were announced in August 2023. 

Hindi film ‘Rocketry: The Nambi Effect’ won the National Award for best feature film while Alia Bhatt and Kriti Sanon shared the best actress prize for their roles in ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ and ‘Mimi’, respectively. South actor Allu Arjun was adjudged the best actor for the Telugu film ‘Pushpa: The Rise’.  

Malayalam Cinema had won eight national awards this year in feature and non-feature categories among others. Actor Indrans received the special jury mention for his performance in ‘Home’, which was named the best Malayalam movie.
