Nana Patekar’s autopsy report confirms heart attack, reveals cause of death

Veteran actor Nana Patekar died of a heart attack caused by a blood clot blocking the left main coronary artery, according to his postmortem report. A senior doctor at the state-run Goa Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) confirmed the findings on Sunday, PTI reported.
The 75-year-old actor passed away in the early hours of October 8 after falling ill at his residence in Dona Paula, near Panaji, Goa. Following his death, Goa Police registered an unnatural death case under Section 194 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS).

According to the autopsy report, the cause of death was “acute myocardial infarction due to left main coronary artery thrombosis secondary to atherosclerotic occlusive coronary artery disease”, classified as a natural cause of death.
The left main coronary artery supplies blood to a significant portion of the heart, making a blockage in the vessel a potentially life-threatening condition.
