Mohanlal steals the show in ‘Bha Bha Ba’ trailer; Dileep-starrer gears up for release

Kochi: The much-awaited trailer of the Malayalam action-comedy Bha Bha Ba was released on Wednesday, offering audiences the first full glimpse of the film ahead of its theatrical release on December 18, 2025. The film, produced by Gokulam Gopalan under the Sree Gokulam Movies banner, marks the directorial debut of Dhananjay Shankar.

Bha Bha Ba features Dileep in the lead role, alongside Vineeth Sreenivasan and Dhyan Sreenivasan. The ensemble cast includes Sandy, Balu Varghese, Baiju Santhosh, Saranya Ponvannan, Siddharth Bharathan, Ashokan, and Redin Kingsley. Superstar Mohanlal also appears in a cameo role.

Titled after the Malayalam phrase “Bhayam, Bhakthi, Bahumanam” (Fear, Devotion, Respect), the film is written by Fahim Safar and Noorin Shereef. The trailer introduces the movie’s masala tone, mixing action, humour, family drama, and star power, while giving audiences a first look at the energetic world crafted by debutant director.

The film’s first poster was unveiled on October 27, 2023, coinciding with Dileep’s 56th birthday. Principal photography began on July 14, 2024, in Palakkad, before moving to Coimbatore and Pollachi. Music is composed by Shaan Rahman, with editing by Ranjan Abraham.

The film’s trailer was released barely days after Dileep was acquitted in the 2017 sexual assault case.
