Mohanlal shares romantic post for Suchitra on 38th anniversary; says ‘still feels like beginning’

Malayalam superstar Mohanlal has celebrated his 38th wedding anniversary with his wife Suchitra Mohanlal, posting a warm and romantic message on social media. 

To mark the special occasion, Mohanlal shared a photograph of himself with Suchitra taken in front of the Statue of Liberty on Liberty Island in New York Harbour.

He captioned the post on Instagram saying, “38 years later… and somehow, it still feels like the beginning.”

A long journey since 1988

Mohanlal and Suchitra got married in 1988. Suchitra is the daughter of Tamil film producer K Balaji.

The couple have two children, Pranav Mohanlal and Vismaya Mohanlal. Pranav has followed in his father’s footsteps and has appeared in films, making his debut in ‘Onnaman’ in 2001, which starred Mohanlal himself.

Now 64, Mohanlal has built a career spanning over four decades and has acted in more than 400 films. His contribution to Indian cinema has been widely recognised, including honours such as the Padma Shri in 2001 and the Padma Bhushan for his services to cinema.

In 2009, he also became the first actor in India to receive the honorary rank of lieutenant colonel in the Territorial Army.

In other recent news, Mohanlal met the American electronic DJ duo The Chainsmokers during his visit to Dallas, USA.

The duo shared a post saying, “Made a new friend before our show in Dallas @mohanlal.”

Upcoming film projects and releases

Mohanlal is gearing up for the much-awaited spy thriller ‘Patriot’, which is set to release on May 1.

He has also announced the release of ‘Drishyam 3’, which is expected to hit cinemas in May 21 this year. The film is a crime thriller directed by Jeethu Joseph.

Mohanlal was last seen in ‘Vrusshabha’, a fantasy action film written and directed by Nanda Kishore.
