Mohanlal and Mammootty reunite: Teaser launch for Mahesh Narayanan’s movie tomorrow

Kochi: The teaser of Mahesh Narayanan’s upcoming film,’Patriot’, which reunites Malayalam cinema icons Mohanlal and Mammootty after a long gap, will be released on Thursday at 12 noon. The director has also written the story and screenplay for what is being billed as the biggest Malayalam film to date.

Fans were thrilled to learn that Mammootty, who had taken a six-month break from acting, joined the Hyderabad schedule of the film on Wednesday. The ensemble cast also includes Fahadh Faasil, Kunchacko Boban, Nayanthara and Revathi in pivotal roles.

The film is being produced by Anto Joseph and KG Anilkumar under the Anto Joseph Film Company and Kichappu Films banners. Co-producers include CR Salim and Subhash George Manuel through CR Salim Productions and Blue Tigers London. CV Sarathi and Rajesh Krishna serve as executive producers. Previous shooting schedules have been completed in Sri Lanka, Azerbaijan, Delhi, Sharjah, Kochi and Ladakh, with key Mammootty–Mohanlal combination scenes planned in the upcoming schedule.

The cast also features Jinu Joseph, Rajeev Menon, Danish Hussain, Shaheen Siddique, Sanal Aman, Darshana Rajendran, Sereen Shihab, and theatre director-actor Prakash Belawadi, noted for his roles in 'Madras Cafe' and 'Pathaan'. Overseas distribution is handled by Truth Global Films, while An Mega Media will release the film.

Cinematographer Manush Nandan of Bollywood fame is behind the camera, with music composed by Sushin Shyam. Editing is by Mahesh Narayanan and Rahul Radhakrishnan, and production design is by Shaji Naduvil and Jibin Jacob. Other key crew members include Vishnu Govind (audiography), Ranjith Ambadi (make-up), Dhanya Balakrishnan (costumes), Shobi Paulraj (choreography), and Dilip Subbarayan, Stunt Silva, Mafia Sasi and Riyaz Habib (action choreography).

The production team is led by controller Dixon Poduttas, with line producers Sunil Singh, Nirup Pinto, Justin Boban and Jeswin Boban. Sync sound is by Vysakh PV, while Naveen Murali handles stills. VFX is managed by Firefly, Egg White and Ident VFX Lab, with DI colour grading by Aashirwad Hadkar. Publicity design is by Aesthetic Kunjamma, and PRO duties are managed by Vysakh C Vadakkeveedu and Jinu Anilkumar.
