Dubai: A group of Malayalam movie artists, including director Blessy, actor Unni Mukundan and K R Gokul (‘Aadujeevitham’), found themselves stranded for hours at the Dubai airport due to heavy floods.

The cast and crew of ‘Aadujeevitham’ had encountered the harsh realities of desert climate as they navigated through the filming of the movie. However, they were caught off-guard by unexpected rainfall during their promotional visit to Dubai, complicating plans.

Gokul, known for his memorable performance as Hakeem, and singer Jithin found themselves enduring a grueling 24-hour wait at Dubai Al Maktoum Airport due to hunger, sustained only by the generosity of strangers who provided them with water and food.

Director Blessy faced additional challenges when his scheduled flight from Kochi to Dubai was cancelled, leading to a detour to Sharjah. However, upon arrival, the extent of the flooding in the region became apparent, with airports and roads resembling rivers.

Actor Unni Mukundan and director Ranjith Sankar, who reached Dubai for the promotion of ‘Jai Ganesh,’ also experienced the harsh weather conditions as it was very difficult for them to reach places during the visit.
