Thiruvananthapuram: A shocking behind-the-scenes video from the set of the Malayalam film Thalavara has gone viral, showing actor Arjun Ashokan being accidentally knocked down and dragged under a moving scooter during the filming.

The accident occurred while shooting a sequence featuring Arjun Ashokan and co-actor Sarath Sabha. In the video shared by the film's director Akhil Anilkumar on social media, Sarath is seen riding a scooter that loses control and hits Arjun, causing him to fall hard onto the ground. The scooter then continues to move dangerously close to him before another crew member intervenes to stop it.

The director captioned the video humorously, writing: “Where’s the brake? Oh… where’s the brake on this scooter?” echoing the chaos on set. Thankfully, no serious injuries were reported, and shooting resumed after the mishap.

Meanwhile, Thalavara is powering ahead at the box office and garnering widespread acclaim from audiences and critics alike. Arjun Ashokan’s portrayal of ‘Jyothish’, a young man with vitiligo, is being hailed as one of the finest performances of his career.

The film, set in Palakkad, explores the emotional and social struggles of a man living with vitiligo, intertwining themes of love, identity, and resilience. Arjun appears as 'Panda' while the female lead, Jyothi, is played by Revathy Sharma.

The screenplay is penned by Akhil Anilkumar and Appu Aslam. Cinematography is handled by Anurudh Aneesh, editing by Rahul Radhakrishnan, and the soundtrack is composed by Electronic Kili.
