'Mohanlal is easy going, Mammootty seems arrogant' : Kollam Thulasi on two superstars

Kollam Thulasi, a well-known actor with over three decades of experience in south Indian films and serials, recently shared his thoughts on Malayalam superstars Mohanlal and Mammootty. Speaking to Master Bin Channel, Thulasi praised both actors for their immense talent but pointed out key differences in their personalities.

According to Thulasi, Mammootty is an actor of great depth and skill, having portrayed numerous iconic characters throughout his career. However, he described Mammootty as someone who maintains a serious and reserved demeanor. "He is very simple but does not show it. He appears arrogant. He has a style of covering his presence with seriousness. Sometimes, if you say good morning, he may not even acknowledge it," Thulasi said, recalling a personal experience.

On the other hand, Thulasi described Mohanlal as a more approachable and jovial person who interacts with everyone with laughter and ease. "Mohanlal has a natural way of making people feel happy. He talks playfully, jokes, and makes everyone around him feel comfortable. That is his success," he remarked.

While acknowledging Mammootty's unmatched talent, Thulasi noted that the superstar prefers to keep a low profile and doesn’t engage in casual social interactions as much as Mohanlal does. The veteran actor believes this is one of the biggest differences between the two legendary figures in Malayalam cinema.

His statements have sparked discussions among fans, as both Mammootty and Mohanlal have enjoyed decades-long reigns as the biggest icons of Malayalam cinema, with their individual styles setting them apart in the industry.
