Kajol sparks controversy with ‘haunted’ remark about Ramoji Film City

Actress Kajol is busy promoting her latest film Maa. During one promotional event, Kajol made a statement about Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad that sparked a lot of discussion and criticism. She said that she thinks Ramoji Film City is truly a haunted place.
Kajol's words during an interview with Galatta India have sparked the debate. "I have shot in places where I felt uneasy. I couldn't sleep. I found Ramoji Film City to be one of the most haunted places in the world." She commented that although she hadn't seen any ghosts there, she felt a kind of eeriness there.
There were mixed reactions to this. While some praised Kajol for her honesty, others criticized her harshly. A person reacted that Kajol's description of Ramoji Film City, the largest film city in Asia or the world, as the most haunted place in the world was due to jealousy and resentment over Hindi cinema losing glory. Another reaction that came forward was Kajol insulted Ramoji Film City and the Telugu film industry.
Kajol is not the first celebrity to talk about her ghostly experiences at Ramoji. Previously, Taapsee Pannu, filmmaker Ravi Babu, Rashi Khanna, and director Sundar C have shared their views about the place. Kajol's horror film Maa is releasing on the 27th of this month.
