Seoul: As BTS edges closer to a full reunion, members Jimin (Park Jimin) and Jungkook (Jeon Jungkook) are set to complete their mandatory military service on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at 8:00 am KST, according to Korean media reports. Their discharge comes just one day after RM (Kim Namjoon) and V (Kim Taehyung) were officially released from duty, reigniting excitement among ARMYs around the world.

Jimin and Jungkook had enlisted together on December 12, 2023, under South Korea's “companion enlistment” program, allowing them to train and serve side by side in the 5th Infantry Division. Their synchronised enlistment and discharge schedules have fueled anticipation for their return as a duo and eventually, as part of a reunited BTS.

Global fans await the moment

For international ARMYs, the moment of discharge translates to:

June 10 at 7:00 pm EDT (New York)

4:00 pm PDT (Los Angeles)

June 11 at 12:00 am BST (London)

4:30 am IST (India)

9:00 am AEST (Sydney)

While no official public ceremony is expected, following standard military protocol, Big Hit Music is likely to issue a formal statement. Fans can also anticipate potential updates from the members themselves via Weverse or social media platforms.

One step closer to OT7

With Jimin and Jungkook’s discharge, only Suga (Min Yoongi) remains in service. He is expected to complete his term on June 21, 2025, concluding the military chapter for all seven BTS members. The second half of 2025 is already being viewed by fans and industry insiders as a major period for BTS’s full-scale return to music and performances as a group.
