‘Jai Ho’ out: Jayasurya’s Operation Tral unveils first song on eve of Independence Day | WATCH

Kochi: Goodwill Entertainments has unveiled ‘Jai Ho’, the first song from its upcoming pan-Indian investigative thriller Operation Tral, on the eve of India’s Independence Day.

The patriotic track celebrates courage, national pride and the spirit of the country. The song is sung by playback singer Sudhir Yaduvanshi, with lyrics by Irshad Dalal. The film’s writer-director Ratheesh Vega has composed the music and background score.

The title ‘Jai Ho’ may remind listeners of A.R. Rahman’s globally popular song of the same name. However, the track from Operation Tral presents the phrase in a different cinematic setting, using it to underline the film’s patriotic theme.

Yaduvanshi, who sang both the title track and ‘Aari Aari’ from Dhurandhar: The Revenge, brings his powerful vocals to ‘Jai Ho’.

Jayasurya leads Operation Tral

Operation Tral, starring Jayasurya in the lead, is set against the backdrop of intelligence and counter-terrorism operations. The film draws inspiration from an encounter between Indian security forces and terrorists in Tral, Jammu and Kashmir.

The thriller combines action and investigative elements with a strong national-security backdrop.

The cast includes Murali Sharma, Vinay Rai, Siddique, Sai Kumar, Nandalal Krishnamoorthy, Rithika Singh, Kavya Shetty and Anson Paul, along with Sirajudheen.

The film also features actors from Bollywood, including Vikram Kochhar, Yash Pal Gera, Mir Sarwar, Chandan Bisht, Hansika Jangid, Vaani Dogra, Jai Thakore, Vijay Trivedi and Manhar Singh.

Shot across multiple locations

The film was shot in several locations across India, including Kerala, Coimbatore, New Delhi, Kulu, Manali, Mussoorie and Ladakh.

Operation Tral is set for a worldwide release in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi. It is produced by Joby George Thadathil under the Goodwill Entertainments banner, with Sunimol Joby serving as co-producer.

Ratheesh Vega has written and directed the film and also composed its music and background score. Najose is the cinematographer, while Shafeeque V.B. handles editing.

The technical crew also includes project designer Noble Jacob, production designer Sajeesh Thamarassery, art director Suneesh Sodharan, costume designers Sameera Saneesh and Saritha Jayasurya, and makeup artist Ronex Xavier.

With ‘Jai Ho’ as its first musical release, Operation Tral has begun building anticipation for its high-intensity story ahead of its theatrical release.
