No turning back: Jayam Ravi to move forward with divorce plans

Actor Jayam Ravi is now insisting on pursuing his divorce plans after he made headlines recently with the announcement of his separation from his wife Aarti after spending 15 years together.

He questioned why Aarti did not reach out to him to resolve their issues, responding during an interview with national media. He mentioned that he had sent two notices through his lawyer, to which Aarti has not responded, raising doubts about her willingness to resolve their problems. He criticised the involvement of a third party, suggesting it complicates the situation further. Ravi also noted that he has a court date in October, indicating that the legal process is progressing and that everything is now in the hands of the law.

The actor had shared the news via a post on X, expressing that the decision was taken with deep sadness. In response, Aarti stated that she was not informed beforehand about the divorce announcement and felt blindsided. She conveyed feelings of losing her dignity and individuality due to Ravi's public statement. The couple has reportedly been living separately for some time.

After the announcement, Jayam Ravi removed images of Aarti and their children from his social media profiles. Reports indicate that he has also filed a complaint at the Adyar Police Station in Chennai, claiming Aarti has prevented him from entering their home. In his complaint, Ravi has requested police assistance in retrieving his belongings, including his car and other personal items. 

Jayam Ravi has also expressed his determination to fight for the custody of their children, stating in a recent interview that he would pursue this matter even if it took 20 years.
