Rumors are swirling in the Tamil film industry about actor Jayam Ravi's possible romantic involvement with singer Kenishaa Francis. Kenishaa, a multi-talented artist hailing from Bangalore, first gained attention for her performances in Goan pubs, and has since transitioned to working on independent music and acting projects. According to Nakkheeran, Kenishaa’s alleged involvement with Jayam Ravi might be a reason for the divorce. 

Who is Kenishaa Francis?

Kenishaa Francis is a singer and performer who initially made her mark in Goa's local pub scene. With her soulful voice, she quickly became a favorite among audiences and transitioned into performing independent songs. She even collaborated with actor Jiiva on a Tamil music album, further expanding her presence in the South Indian entertainment world. Despite her musical success, little is known about her personal life.

Kenishaa was introduced to Jayam Ravi during one of his frequent Goa trips with his college friends. The actor, known for his roles in movies like ‘Ponniyin Selvan’, reportedly became a fan of Kenishaa’s voice, and the two soon developed a friendship. 

Jayam Ravi’s divorce

Jayam Ravi's marriage to Aarti, the daughter of producer Sujatha Vijayakumar, has been under public scrutiny following the actor’s announcement of their separation. Married since 2009, the couple has two sons. Jayam Ravi made the public announcement of the dissolution of his marriage on his social media accounts, stating that the decision was not made in haste and was the result of much reflection. However, Aarti soon responded, claiming that the announcement was made without her knowledge or consent.

In her statement, Aarti expressed her shock and sadness, noting that she had been blindsided by her husband's decision. She emphasized the impact the news has had on their children and rejected rumors blaming her for the marital issues. She also hinted at the one-sided nature of the decision, which left her with no chance for open dialogue with her husband.
