‘Jana Nayagan’ Box Office: Vijay's last film has everyone talking after this big feat

‘Oru vaati mudivu pannitena en pecha nanae kekamaten.’ Thalapathy Vijay's dialogue has long proven his larger-than-life screen presence and audiences the star power at the box office.

With ‘Jana Nayagan’, widely billed as the actor's final film before his full-time political career, fans continue to flock to theatres, helping the action drama race past major milestones in just four days.

‘Jana Nayagan’ has now crossed the Rs 100 crore mark at the Indian box office, continuing its impressive theatrical run. The H Vinoth directorial witnessed another jump on its first Sunday, collecting an estimated Rs 32 crore net on day 4, according to early estimates by Sacnilk.

With this, the film's India net collection has reached Rs 124.75 crore, while its India gross stands at Rs 145.98 crore. Overseas, the film added Rs 10 crore gross on Sunday, taking its international total to Rs 71.50 crore. Its worldwide gross collection now stands at Rs 217.48 crore after just four days in theatres.

The Tamil version continued to dominate, contributing Rs 27.30 crore on Sunday. The Hindi version collected Rs 3.35 crore, while the Telugu version added Rs 1.35 crore.

Occupancy figures also showed the film's strong weekend performance. The Tamil version recorded an overall occupancy of 69.04 percent, with evening shows peaking at 78.46 percent. The Hindi version registered 21.33 percent occupancy, while the Telugu version posted 24.39 percent, as per reports.

According to TOI, Tamil Nadu remained the biggest contributor with Rs 22.50 crore gross on Day 4. Karnataka followed with Rs 4.75 crore, Kerala added Rs 2.85 crore, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana together contributed Rs 2.05 crore, while the rest of India brought in Rs 5.02 crore, taking the film's day 4 India gross to Rs 37.17 crore.

Directed by H Vinoth, ‘Jana Nayagan’ stars Vijay alongside Pooja Hegde, Bobby Deol and Mamitha Baiju. The film, an official remake of ‘Bhagavanth Kesari’, also features Nassar, Prakash Raj, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Narain and Priyamani in major roles.
