'I have started caring less and less about trends': Janhvi Kapoor at Lakme Fashion Week | WATCH

Mumbai: Bollywood star Janhvi Kapoor says that she no longer worries about how her fashion choices are perceived, instead opting to simply enjoy experimenting with her outfits. The actor, known for her roles in films like Dhadak, Mili, Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl, and Good Luck Jerry, turns showstopper for renowned designer Rahul Mishra's collection, The Silk Route, during the ongoing Lakme Fashion Week X FDCI on Saturday night.

When asked about her evolving fashion sensibilities, Janhvi tells PTI, "I have started caring less and less about trends. I don't mind being repetitive. I take a lot of pride in being confident, wearing silhouettes, glamour, and all those things. I don't really care how people feel about it, I enjoy myself."

For her ramp walk, Janhvi stuns in a black off-shoulder gown with a thigh-high slit, made from Bandhani print fabric. The show reaches its peak when Janhvi makes a dramatic entrance, arriving in a car, flanked by models posing as eager paparazzi. The shutterbugs swarm around her as she steps out, concealing her ensemble beneath a large overcoat secured with a belt. After teasing the photographers with a few looks and a playful hair toss, she reveals her glamorous outfit, capturing the spotlight as the showstopper.

The fashion showcase has a fun and energetic vibe, with Janhvi and the other models walking the ramp to classic disco hits like Raat Baaqi, Aaj Ki Raat, Yaar Bina Chain Kahan Re, Jimmy Jimmy, and Tamma Tamma, making it a memorable night.

When asked about her outfit, Janhvi describes it simply: "It's tight, black, Indian and modern." As for her thoughts before stepping onto the ramp, she jokingly adds, "Please don't fall."

On the work front, Janhvi expresses excitement for the upcoming phase of her career, saying, "I’m in the most exciting phase right now." She will be seen next in the films Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, Param Sundari, and Peddi. "I had such a blast shooting for all these films. All of my roles are so much fun. I can’t wait for everyone to see these films," she shares. Janhvi is last seen in Devara: Part 1.
