The buzz began when Sreeleela shared a few photos on Instagram Stories showing her dressed in a soft pink outfit with turmeric smeared on her cheeks, smiling as elders lovingly applied haldi to her face. One particularly touching picture featured a man, likely a family member, applying haldi while she beamed with joy. Naturally, fans began speculating that wedding bells were ringing.

The pictures went viral on Reddit and across fan pages, fueling intense speculation that the actress was either getting engaged or secretly married, especially after recent dating rumours involving Kartik Aaryan surfaced. The two were recently seen wrapping a film schedule, with Kartik sharing a mirror selfie captioned, “Long but a very fulfilling Schedule Wrap #Diwali2025.”

But it was just a birthday party!

Putting an end to all the wedding speculation, Sreeleela finally addressed the rumours herself. She shared another post clarifying, “So back in the day this is how we celebrated birthdays at home. Planning credits - Amma (Prebirthday).”

With that, she confirmed that what looked like a pre-wedding haldi was actually a beautifully planned traditional birthday celebration.
