Actress Indraja Shankar, daughter of the late actor Robo Shankar, shared a deeply emotional video on social media to pay tribute to her father, who recently passed away. The video montage features photos of Indraja and her father throughout her life, starting from her birth.

In the caption, Indraja wrote, "Can I ever see u again appa….If yes means please come to me appa…." The background audio plays a touching imagined conversation between a father and daughter. When the father says goodbye, the daughter asks where he’s going. He replies it’s a long journey, and when she asks if she will see him again, he gently assures her, “Sure,” explaining that goodbyes are not forever.

Robo Shankar collapsed on a film set a few days ago and tragically passed away shortly after. Hospital sources confirmed that his death was due to multiple organ failure, including kidney and liver problems. He had been recovering from jaundice and was preparing for a comeback in the film industry.

Thousands of people online have been moved by Indraja’s video, leaving supportive and heartfelt comments.

Robo Shankar was known for his mimicry and comedy. He earned his nickname from his famous robot imitation on stage and gained popularity through the comedy reality show Kalakka Povathu Yaaru on Star Vijay. He made his film debut in Idharkuthane Aasaipattai Balakumara, starring Vijay Sethupathi, and later delivered memorable performances in films like Vaayai Moodi Pesavum, Touring Talkies, and Maari.

He was married to television personality Priyanka and is survived by their daughter Indraja. Robo Shankar also featured in many television shows and web series.
