IFFI: Nedumudi Venu’s ‘Margam’ to be screened on Monday

Panaji: Late Mollywood actor Nedumudi Venu’s movie ‘Margam’ will be screened at the International Film Festival here on Monday. Paying homage to the veteran actor, the movie directed by Rajiv Vijay Raghavan, will be screened in the homage category.
The film is an adaptation of Pithrutharppanam, the famous story by M. Sukumaran. 'Margam' had bagged 7 Kerala State Film Awards and one National Film Award in 2003.
Apart from the Malayalam actor, IFFI will also pay homage to Kannada actor Puneeth Rajkumar who passed away recently. Puneeth’s ‘Rajakumara’ will be screened in the festival under the homage category.
The Indian Panorama section of the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) opened here on Sunday with Aimee Baruah's 'Semkhor', the first movie to be made in Dimasa, a dialect spoken by a tribal community spread across parts of Assam and Nagaland.
The 52nd edition of the International Film Festival of India is being organised by the Directorate of Film Festivals, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting in collaboration with the Goa government.
