I want to be CM! Old clip of Trisha goes viral, fuels buzz about political debut

A video clip of popular Tamil actress Trisha expressing her wish to become the Chief Minister has resurfaced on social media and is once again going viral. The clip is from an interview she had given to Sun TV back in 2004, during the early years of her film career. Interestingly, Sun TV had released this interview segment on their social media platforms about five years ago, but it has recently caught the public’s attention once more.
In the interview, which was conducted when Trisha was transitioning from modelling to establishing herself in the Tamil film industry, she was asked about her future plans. When the anchor asked her what she aspired to do after modelling and acting, Trisha, without a moment’s hesitation, replied that she wanted to become the Chief Minister within the next 10 years, its true, wait and see, she added.
When asked what she would do if she became Chief Minister, Trisha quipped, “First, vote and elect me, then I’ll tell you!”
This old clip has gone viral amid ongoing speculations about Trisha’s potential entry into politics. The speculation is fueled by her close friendship with actor Vijay, who recently founded the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam political party and is expected to play a crucial role in Tamil Nadu’s political landscape.
Speculations are ongoing widely, discussing whether Trisha, like Vijay, might eventually step into politics.
