Mohanlal has paid tribute to the late actor TP Madhavan, recalling the love and affection Madhavan had for him as a father figure. In a heartfelt Facebook post, Mohanlal expressed his admiration for Madhavan, who had worked alongside him in numerous films over the years.

In his social media post, Mohanlal noted that the late actor won the hearts of many with his charming smile.

Mohanlal highlighted their collaborations in a variety of projects, including "Uyarangalil," "Sarvakalashala," "Moonnam Mura," "Ulladakkam," "Pingami," "Agnidevan," "Narasimham," "Ayyaal Katha Ezuthukayanu," "Nadodikkattu," "Vietnam Colony," "Natturajavu," and "Twenty 20."

Madhavan, who was also the first General Secretary of the Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA), was known for his charming smile and the affection he garnered from all. Mohanlal lamented the loss of Madhavan, stating that he would be dearly missed.

TP Madhavan, a resident of Gandhi Bhavan in Pathanapuram, Kollam, passed away on Wednesday at a private hospital in Kollam, where he was undergoing treatment. He had been admitted to the hospital due to deteriorating health and was later placed on a ventilator. Over his career, Madhavan appeared in over 600 films.

His journey in the film industry began with the 1975 release "Raagam." After facing challenges, including a period of homelessness in a lodge in Thiruvananthapuram, he was brought to Gandhi Bhavan by serial director Prasad. Following his arrival, he starred in various serials and films but eventually succumbed to Alzheimer's disease.

Madhavan's legacy includes memorable performances in films like "Kalikkalam," "Nadodikkattu," "Vietnam Colony," "Sandesham," "Lelam," "Ayaal Katha Ezuthukayanu," "Narasimham," "Pappayude Swantham Appoos," and "Pulival Kalyanam." His contributions to the Malayalam film industry will be remembered by fans and colleagues alike.
