From actor to director: Ravi Mohan helms 'An Ordinary Man' starring Yogi Babu

Chennai: Actor Ravi Mohan has announced his directorial debut with a film titled 'An Ordinary Man', featuring comedian Yogi Babu in the lead role.
The promo of the film was unveiled on Tuesday at a star-studded event at the Chennai Trade Centre, Nandambakkam, by Kannada superstar Dr Shiva Rajkumar. The launch also marked the inauguration of Ravi Mohan’s new production banner, Ravi Mohan Studios.
The promo opens with Yogi Babu and Ravi Mohan in conversation on a rooftop. When Ravi Mohan reveals he is making a film, Yogi Babu quips, “That is what you’ve been doing for 20 years.” Ravi Mohan then clarifies that he will be directing this time, prompting Yogi Babu to advise against the move, until he learns he has been cast in the lead. His opposition quickly turns into praise.
The humorous sequence continues with Ravi Mohan explaining that while he has finalised the story, he is yet to decide Yogi Babu’s role. To help, he asks the actor to try on various costumes, from a boxer to a gangster to an astronaut. None seem to fit, until Yogi Babu appears in his nightclothes, ready for bed. At that moment, Ravi Mohan declares he has found the perfect role, an “ordinary man.” Yogi Babu responds that there is nothing more extraordinary than the story of an ordinary man.
Alongside An Ordinary Man, teasers for two other projects were also launched. Actress Genelia Deshmukh and actor Riteish Deshmukh unveiled the teaser of Bro Code, Ravi Mohan’s upcoming film with director Karthik Yogi. Actor Sivakarthikeyan released the teaser of Kaakhi Squad, another production from Ravi Mohan Studios.
