Flanked by film icon and son of his cricketing hero: Priyadarshan says ‘God is kind’

Director Priyadarshan has shared a photograph featuring actors Mohanlal and Saif Ali Khan together, taken on the set of his upcoming film Haiwan. Alongside the picture, he posted a short note expressing his admiration for both stars and reflecting on the unexpected turns life can take.

“Look at life and the way it turns… Here I am on the shooting sets of Haiwan, working with the son of one of my biggest cricket heroes and with my favourite film icon. Truly, God is kind,” Priyadarshan wrote on Instagram. Haiwan marks the filmmaker’s twenty-ninth Hindi film.

Akshay Kumar plays one of the lead roles in the film, while Mohanlal appears in a cameo. The thriller is scripted by Priyadarshan himself and is produced by Venkat K Narayana and Shailaja Desai Fenn under the banners of KVN Productions and Thespian Films. Production design is handled by Sabu Cyril.

While Priyadarshan has delivered numerous Bollywood hits with Akshay Kumar, Haiwan is notable for being his first collaboration with Saif Ali Khan. The director is also working on two other Hindi projects — Bhoot Bangla and Hera Pheri 3 — both of which will again feature Akshay Kumar in the lead.
