The character poster of Baburaj, who plays a pivotal role in "Rachel," featuring Honey Rose in a transformation unlike anything seen in her career so far, has been released. Baburaj appears as Joy in the film. Set for a Christmas release, the film will arrive in cinemas on 6 December in five languages. Directed by debutant Anandini Bala, the film is co-written and co-produced by noted Malayalam filmmaker Abrid Shine.

At the trailer launch event held in Kochi, director Vinayan unveiled the trailer. The audio launch was jointly conducted by director Lal Jose and producer Joby George. In her two-decade-long career, Honey Rose takes on one of her most distinctive roles yet, portraying Rachel, a butcher. Baburaj plays Rachel's father, Pothupara Joy, in another significant performance. The trailer also hints at intense action sequences that form an important part of the narrative.

The initial posters featuring Honey Rose at a cattle market had received widespread appreciation, and the film's teaser was also warmly welcomed. The trailer suggests that the film will offer a gripping and visceral viewing experience, marked by heavy violence, bloodshed and powerful performance moments. Alongside Malayalam, the film will also release in Kannada, Telugu, Tamil and Hindi.

The film features Honey Rose, Baburaj, Roshan Basheer, Chandu Salimkumar, Radhika Radhakrishnan, Jaffar Idukki, Vineeth Thattill, Joji, Dinesh Prabhakar, Pauly Valsan and Vanditha Manoharan among a strong ensemble cast. "Rachel" is shaping up to be a compelling revenge thriller.

Produced under the banner of Badusha's Silver Screen Entertainment by Manju Badusha, Shahul Hameed, and Rajan Chirayil, the story is written by Rahul Manappat, with the screenplay by Rahul Manappat and Abrid Shine. The film brings together a team of award-winning technicians from across the Indian film industry. Distribution is handled by Badusha's Silver Screen Entertainment through Sree Priya Combines.
