Farah Khan drops a bomb; says, ‘I know why actors have affairs on sets’

On-set romances in Bollywood are nothing new — over the years, several actors have found love and sparked real-life chemistry while filming together. What once began as quiet whispers from film sets has now become a favourite topic of social media chatter and celebrity talk shows. And in a recent episode of Two Much With Kajol & Twinkle, ace choreographer-director and YouTuber Farah Khan brought the subject up once again, adding her signature dose of humour to the mix.

Featuring in the episode alongside Ananya Panday, Farah Khan was talking about her acting debut in the 2012 film ‘Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi’. She recalled her days as an actor who had to wait for long hours between shots. That is when she jokingly referred to why actors end up getting involved in real-life romances on set.

“You just have to sit and wait (till the shot is ready). I told Boman (Irani) that now I know why people are having affairs on the set,” Farah said, as Twinkle Khanna—who co-hosts the show with Kajol—laughed and quipped, “Absolutely.”

“They are just bored. They are waiting ki kab shot lagega toh ‘chalo kuch kar lete hai hum log’ (They’re waiting for the shot to be set up, thinking, ‘let’s do something in the meantime’),” she added.

During the episode, Farah also joked about having a crush on Chunky Panday back in the day. If that wasn’t enough, Ananya also joked about Farah having possession of one of Chunky’s shirts that she is yet to return to him.

Recalling the story of how she got his shirt, Farah revealed that once when she was at their residence, she slipped on their dog’s pee, hilarious CCTV footage of which was later shared by Chunky in his family group. Later, Farah had to take a shower, and Chunky gave her an “Rs. 50 ka Goa ka shirt which you get on Baga Beach.”

“This was three years ago, and he’s still asking for it,” said Farah.
